For 1969 and 1970 models, the Mustang received a larger body, a more aggressive stance, and a wider grille. ’69 models featured “quad headlamps” which disappeared to make way for an even wider grille in the ’70 models. A variety of performance and decorative options were available including functional (and non-functional) air scoops, cable and pin hood tie downs, and both wing and chin spoilers. Additionally, the Boss 302 and 429 models were introduced to homologize the engines.

The Volkswagen Type 1, widely known as the Volkswagen Beetle and Volkswagen Bug, is an economy car produced by the German auto maker Volkswagen (VW) from 1938 until 2003. With over 21 million manufactured in an air-cooled, rear-engined, rear-wheel drive configuration, the Beetle is the longest-running and most-manufactured automobile of a single design platform anywhere in the world.

The Ford Galaxie, a full size car, was built in the United States by the Ford Motor Company. Its production lasted from 1959 through 1974. The name was used for the top models in Ford’s full size range from 1959 untill 1961, in a marketing strategy to appeal to the excitement surrounding the space race.  For 1962, the Galaxie name was applied to all Ford’s full size models, as the Fairlane moved to a new intermediate and custom was temporarily retired. In an effort to stimulate midseason sales, Ford introduced a group of sporty cars along with its now-famous “Lively Ones” campaign. These models featured the bucket seats and console that was popularized by the Chevrolet Corvair Monza, and included a Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe, and a Falcon Futura. The full-size line got a new bucket-seats-and-console “Lively One,” the Galaxie 500/XL. The 292 cu in (4.8 l) V8 was standard on the 500/XL. The XL had a sportier trim inside and out as part of the package. This model was Ford’s response to Chevrolet’s Super Sport option for the big Impala, which was introduced the previous year and saw a significant rise in sales for 1962. Performance was not ignored either, with an even larger 406 cu in engine being available, again in single four-barrel or triple-carbureted six-barrel form. At the other end of the spectrum, of course, the 223 cu 6-cylinder engine was still available for the more budget-minded driver. The 1962 Galaxie is a stylish and elegant car. It is surely an awesome addition to the FantomWorks garage for the time it is here.

The 1967 Shelby GT500 is the worlds most famous mustang. This is largely due to the movie, “Gone in 60 Seconds.” It is also one of the most expensive classic mustangs in existence. This year was one of the last years that the Shelby Company was involved with the production of these vehicles, at least for a little while. They were equipped with a huge seven litre motor that produced over 300 horsepower.  The aggressive look of this car is without a doubt what makes this car so desirable. If anyone was to drive this car around town they would have people drooling. Therefore, the FantomWorks team is proud to be working on a true original american muscle car.

Owner’s Remarks

We purchased this truck in 2005 from an ad placed on the Collector Car Trader on Line. The Scout was in Gresham, Oregon by a private seller. After a little back & forth my wife and youngest son struck a deal. It was then shipped overland fom the west coast to Norfolk, Virginia. This Scout ll came w/ 98135 miles, V-8 (345) Automatic Trans, Cruise Control, Air Cond, Power Steering & Brakes, Warn Locking Hubs and was in good running condition. This truck weighs over 3 tons, not a gas sipper! We had owned one very similar in 1983 so we knew what we were getting.

The 1937 Volvo PV52 was built by the Volvo corporation in the late 1930′s. It was a response to the demand for a less expensive vehicle by the consumers. It included a rear that was very similar to the Carioca. The front, however, was different and the interior was more simplistic due to lower production cost. These vehicles are certianly a stylish and eye catching. It is certian that if driving down the road in this vehicle heads will turn to check out this awesome car.
